Below are examples of academic enrichment services I am currently offering or have offered in the past. Click on the brochures and/or course outlines for a preview of the type of programs I have put together.
- Marine & Electrical Explorations Science Enrichment Camp - Summer 2009 program designed for students 5th thru 8th grade in the Los Angeles, CA area. The marine science week is the same as the summer 2008 program. An additional week of curriculum was added focusing on electricity and magnetism.
- Marine Science Enrichment Camp - Summer 2008 program designed for students 5th thru 8th grade in the Los Angeles, CA area.
- Exploring the Ocean Environment - Winter 2008 afternoon class designed for students 5th thru 8th grade in the Mammoth Lakes, CA area as part of the PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) Enrichment Program.
** Programs such as the ones listed above can be developed for small groups of students. Please contact me if you are interested in academic enrichment services.
The sample work below was created for my middle school science classes. However, all work can be modified to suit the needs of any grade level. These few examples are simply a means to provide a small preview of various lessons/projects I have available.
- Science Lab Example:
- Field Study Project Example (Ocean Globe Field Research Program - a hands-on, long term research project conducted at Santa Monica Beach, CA. Students observed the effects of winter storms on beach erosion as well as marine wildlife. Students wrote a technical scientific research paper based on their own measurements, observations, and calculations. This project was used as a means to apply theoretical information learned in the classroom to real life data.):
